How to Make a Guild in Dauntless

Like any other MMO games, guilds are a great way to find like-minded people to team up with, get to know each other and work together towards greatness in the game. Being in a guild is also the best way to find teammates to hunt with instead of having to rely on strangers you get randomly teamed up with. We have all had to deal with that one ****** player that ruins everyone’s fun.

How to Form Your Own Guild

To make a guild in Dauntless you first need to open up the social menu. You can do that by pressing the O button on the keyboard (for PC). In there you will find a tab called „Guild“. If you press that tab you will get a screen with a huge blue button with the words „Create Guild“. Click it to start the guild making process.

The first step is to choose the name of the guild and the nameplate, which is the short text that gets displayed next to the names of all members of the guild. The guild name can be from 4 to 15 characters long and the nameplate must be 2 to 7 characters long. Both the name and nameplate can have English letters and numbers.

If the guild name or nameplate is already taken (both have to be unique) it takes a few moments for it to show when you type it in. So wait a bit to see if you can use your guild name and nameplate. This caused me a surprising amount of annoyance when I made my first guild.

How to Invite People to Your Dauntless Guild

Once you have your guild set up you need to get people into your guild. To do that you can use your friend list and invite people directly from it or you can invite people by typing in their epic name in the box shown in the image below.

You can also invite people from the recent players’ list you can see in that same image. Just right click and invite them to the guild that way. The recent players are those players that have been in your vicinity. What’s also useful about those lists is that you can see what platform the player is using to play the game. So if you only want people that play on PlayStation in your guild you can do that.

Why Make a Guild in Dauntless

At the moment, guilds in Dauntless are only useful for social purposes and finding a group of players to band up with to take out the bigger monsters in the game. You also get a private guild chat channel which you access by typing /g in the chat box.

However, there are plans to have a procession system for guilds where guild members will gain some perks and benefits. With that in mind, it is worth investing in a guild at an early point to belong to a strong team of players once that expansion rolls out.

So now you should be able to form your own Guild in Dauntless. If you found this information useful then please share it with your friends and allies and feel free to check out my other Dauntless guides.
