How to Get Gilda Stars in Archeage Unchained

A Gilda Star is one of the currencies used in Archeage. It is arguably one of the more important currencies as it is often the only currency that allows you to purchase large scale items, such as house designs, ships, and vehicles. There is a limited number of ways to earn these Gilda Stars and they are often time-consuming or require tasks that are costly in terms of materials or gold.

The first thing is simply to know how to get Gilda stars and where to get quests when needed. The activities mentioned here are listed in a manner where the most accessible activities are at the top and the ones that require owning property or being in a Guild are listed lower.

Doing the Story Quests Gets You a Few Gilda Stars

I probably don’t need to mention it but completing the story quest does give you a few Gilda stars. And since you can complete the story quests on two separate characters per account it can be a short term supply of Gilda stars.

Also, I think it is possible to complete the story quest on an alternate character, delete that character and then redo the story quest with a new one. Of course, you will have to wait for a week to create a new character, probably because of this reason.

Getting Gilda Stars From Completing Achievements

There are over 3000 achievements you can complete in the game that reward you with Gilda Stars once completed. By pressing the “V” button you get to see the list of achievements you can complete. These achievements range from something as simple as drinking a healing potion to something complex like acquiring a farm freighter. Now, while this is a “limited” amount of stars, the sheer volume is enough for a lot of the items you can buy at Mirage Isle.

Gilda Stars From the Blue Salt Brotherhood Daily Quests.

Once you hit level 30 you can accept daily quests from the Blue Salt representative in Marianopel or Ezna for the west and in Austera or the City of Towers for the east. The total number of daily Blue Salt quests is five, with one becoming available at level 30, two more at level 40 and finally all five at level 50. These quests require a bit of legwork and do cost a bit of gold in the form of materials and, if you want to save time, Hereafter stones to complete.

Hunting Requests

Hunting requests are items that you purchase from a “Request Manager” NPC, located inside the community centers of the PvP enabled regions. Each hunt request costs 1 gold to purchase. A hunt request is a form that, when clicked, starts a quest where you are asked to kill a certain number of specific monsters. Once completed you get some experience, a single Gilda star, and one prestige point.

This is one of the NPC’s that offer to sell you hunt requests for one gold each.

You can complete every hunting request each day for each region. This means that doing hunt requests is a somewhat fast way to earn Gilda stars, assuming you have enough gold to purchase the hunt requests. I personally, use hunting requests as my main source of Gilda Stars.

List of Regions With Hunting Requests and Number of Requests Each Has [Work in Process]

  • Two in Cinderstone Moor
  • Two in Halcyona
  • Three Hellswamp
  • Two in Sanddeep
  • Five in Karkasse Ridgeland
  • Two?? in Ynystere
  • Two in Rockborne Basin
  • Five in Windscour Savannah
  • One in Perinoor Ruins
  • Six in Hasla

Daily Mentor/Mentee Dungeon Quests

These dailies are divided into Mentee and Mentor quests, with the mentor quests giving more Gilda stars on completion.

These daily quests are located outside the Burnt Castle and Sharpwind Mines on the Nuia continents and Palace Cellar and Hadir Farm on the Haryana continent. You will get a daily quest there depending on your character level from Lucius the bird. These quests need to be completed as a team, so bring at least one friend along with the appropriate level. The mentor gets three Gilda stars and the mentee gets a single Gilda star.

Level Requirements for the Daily Dungeon Quests

  • Sharpwind Mines and Palace Cellar: Mentor, level 30+ – Mentee, level 19-29
  • Burnt Castle and Hadir Farm: Mentor, level 40+ – Mentee level, 30-39

Daily Naval Quests.

There are 4 different naval quests that you can do daily to farm Gilda stars if you have a combat-capable ship. These quests can be accessed at NPC’s located at docks.

  • Enemies of the Sea Trade – rewards 1 Gilda Star.
  • Ghosts from the Depths [Epic] – rewards 1 Gilda Star.
  • Stopping Doomsday – rewards 1 Gilda Star
  • Ghosts of Delphinad [Legendary] – rewards 3 Gilda Stars.

“Ghosts from the Depths” requires you to kill three ghost ships and “Ghosts of Delphinad” requires you to kill a Delphinad ghost ship. These quests are hard and best done in a group of high level players.

Daily Trade Quests: Trade Outlet

If you have a house you get access to a daily quest where you are asked to create a Local Speciality trade pack. Doing so will reward you with 500 vocation badges, a Blue Salt Bond and a single Gilda star. You don’t need to deliver the pack, but you do need to speak to the NPC at a trading post to complete it, so you might as well deliver it. If you’re unsure of how trading works then go ahead and read my trading guide.

Daily Farmer’s Workstation Quests

These dailies require you to not only own a house but also have a farmer’s workstation placed on you houses lawn. If you have a house, then getting a farmer’s workstation is not so difficult. To get these daily quests you first need to make one of four items seen in the image below. Each one will give you a quest which, when completed, will reward you with a Gilda star in addition to some gold and vocation badges.

Image shows the farmers workstation and the recipe which gives the dail quest for a Gilda star
You can make one of these meals each day to get a Gilda star among other rewards.

Daily World Bosses.

There are 50 world bosses you can defeat to get Gilda stars. To get the stars you first need to get a quest where you are tasked with defeating the world boss. You should get the quest automatically one you are close to the world boss, unless the boss level is far lower than your own level.

The problem with this approach is that these world bosses have a long respawn timer, from 1 hour to 8 hours, so they are easy to miss and there is some competition. Because of this, they are difficult to rely on for Gilda Stars.

Gilda Stars from Guild Missions

There are two guild missions that reward you with Gilda Stars, these are Construct the Nuian/Haraynan Alliance Bridge (dependant on faction) and Reinforce the Ramparts. Each completed quest gives you three Gilda stars.

So that’s about everything I know regarding earning Gilda Gilda Starts in Archeage Unchained. If you know of more method then I would really appreciate it if you could add them in the comments below. Yo don’t need to add your email, it’s just a peculiarity of WordPress. I also have a few other Archeage guides if you’re interested in checking them out.

  1. There are several other ways to get Gilda as well:
    a) Harvesting proficiency dailies – When you get a harvesting proficiency (except possibly fishing) to either 50k or 70k, you unlock a daily for that profession. It comes from seed bundles for farming and gathering (example, rice for farming, azaleas for gathering), Tree lots for logging, rock nodes for mining, and the duck or goose cages for husbandry. Each of these reward 1 gilda, for a total of up to 5 gilda from these professions.

    b) Remodeled 24x or larger houses provide a task jar that you can obtain up to two quests a day from (owner only). These quests vary depending on the type of house built. For example, a remodeled farmhouse gives one quest for earthmana leaves and another for 20 hay bales. Each quest given by a task jar gives 1 gilda, so you can get an additional 2 gilda a day from these quests.

  2. There is a daily in Ahnimar to wash kids, just west of the Community center on the east side of the lake that gives a gilda.
