Purified water is a reagent used both in alchemy and cooking and it is therefore in high demand. Yet to make your own purified water is easy. The first step is to gather water from a water source.
Gathering Water From a Water Source
To gather water you first need to buy empty bottles. You can buy the bottles at a materials vendor which is shown on the map with the scythe symbol. The bottles are cheap, costing 20 silver each. You need one bottle for each water you gather, so if you intend to gather 100 water, you will need 100 bottles.
Once you have purchased the bottles you need to go to the next water source. It can be a river, the ocean, a pond or even a small well. Move your character into the water source and right-click the bottle. This will start your gathering and note that gathering water costs energy in much the same way as any other gathering.
To auto-repeat the gathering action you can check the small box that appears next to the gathering bar that says “Repeat Drawing Water”. This will make the character gather water into the bottles until you stop, the bottles are all full of water or your character runs out of energy.
The speed of gathering water is also affected by your gathering rank, which means that having silver embroidered gatherer’s clothes, belonging to a guild with a bonus to gathering rank and/or using food that increases gathering speed all helps speeding up gathering water. When you have enough water to work with you will need to process it.
Filtering Water
By pressing the L button you open the processing window. In that window, you can select the tab called filtering. Next, you select the water you just gathered and press start. Now your character will begin to filter the water you made and you get up to on average 2.5 purified water (at processing level artisan 1) for each bottled water you filter. Be careful not to heat the water as that will give you distilled water.

Hi, this seems simple but I’ve run into a problem. You now need to converse with one of three NPCs to unlock this process. [ Waida, Moira, or Yasum ] Do you know where to find M or Y? I met Waida|SandGrainBazaar while Power Leveling my character with a friend, but lack the life exp to use him.
Moria is the Waragon’s Nest Node Manager and Yasum is a general goods vendor in Arehaza.
